A Few of the Best Chicago Music Festivals in the Windy City

Chicago music festivals It may only be March but the ice is melting, and that means it’s time to dream of summer music festivals. Good thing Chicago is home to some of the best that the country has to offer.

Grant Park in downtown Chicago hosts two of the city’s biggest festivals. The first is the Chicago Blues Festival which, according to Chicago magazine, attracts 500,000 people from June 12-14.

Lollapalooza is also held in Grant Park. This festival hosts an extremely diverse line-up, which has yet to be posted for 2015. No matter who is headlining, with an average of 150,000 festival-goers, you can guarantee tickets are going to go quickly! Lolla occurs over July 31st through August 2nd.

If indie music if your thing, then Pitchfork Festival goes off at Union Park on July 17-19th. Not to mention, there are a few Chicago acts performing this year: Wilco, Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa.
