BMW Welt Museum (or BMW “World” in English) is known as the global museum for BMW cars and technologies. Located in Munich, the museum draws record crowds every year. In fact, BMW Welt recently had its 20 millionth visitor, sparking a celebration for the lucky visitors.

According to BMW, the Wald family, from the Aachen area of Germany, received the keys to a BMW X1 to mark the special occasion. The Wald family is allowed to keep this model for a year, giving them free reign to the latest BMW technologies.

“BMW Welt is the shop window of the BMW Group. We are therefore delighted to welcome our 20 millionth visitors after only eight years. Our huge popularity among people from Germany and abroad underlines the attractiveness of the BMW Group and all its brands”, said Helmut Käs, Head of BMW Welt.

Surprisingly, BMW Welt has only been around since 2007. Last year alone, the museum had 3 million visitors.
