Chicago isn’t thought of as a city for kids, but any citizen of this great town knows that there’s plenty of family-friendly events in Chicago. North to south, in and out of the Loop, there’s plenty to do to keep every camper in your crew entertained all day long, even now in early spring when summer somehow still feels lightyears away.
Chicago Children’s Museum
Until May 1, you can check out Pets Unleashed at the Chicago Children’s Museum. Here, your kids (0-6) can play with life-sized stuffed animals, dressing them up, bandaging “wounds,” caring for them in any way – we’ve got to admit, it’s cute as can be.
Playing until April 10 is Matilda the Musical at the Oriental Theatre. If you’re a fan of the famous book by Roald Dahl (same author who wrote the beloved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), you’ll know there’s nothing more delightful for kids of all ages (that means you, parents,) than Matilda.
Family Fun Dinners
The last on our quick list of family-friendly events in Chicago might not be an “event” exactly, but it will feel like one while you’re there: take your crew to one of Chicagoland’s many fantastic train-themed restaurants. You’ll never hear anyone under the age of eight say they don’t think trains are cool, and anyone over the age of eight who says so is just lying.
We hope you and the whole fam has a great time this month! While you’re out and about, swing by Perillo BMW for a great look at our new inventory and models. We hope to see you soon!
