If you are familiar with electric or hybrid vehicles, then you know that you have to charge them pretty frequently in order to keep them running. One of the biggest fears of any driver is getting stranded on the side of the road because they’ve run out of juice. Well, the same goes with electric vehicles, and because of this, charging stations have become more prevalent across America.
To make things easier and more economical for those driving electric vehicles, BMW is introducing two new ChargeNow programs that include different options for people charging up their cars. Partnering with EVgo, BMW has created a ChargeNow by EVgo Annual Pass and Pay as You Go pass for the convenience of EV drivers.
The annual pass allows BMW i3 drivers access to DC fast charging (thirty minutes) and Level 2 charging (one hour) stations for $99 per year. For the i8 and plug-in owners, there is unlimited Level 2 charging for only $39 per year. (Certain deadlines apply to this pricing.)
In the pay as you go plan, drivers can get DC fast charging for $2.95 each session with an additional $0.15 per minute. This adds up to a savings of almost thirty percent over typical pricing for DC fast charging. For the Level 2 charging pay as you go plan, the cost is $1.20 per hour, which is twenty percent lower than average pricing.

With charging stations in the Chicago area, we’re excited to see more fully electric vehicles cruising around town.
