The Chicago Auto Show is coming up fast on the weekend of February 9th and 10th, and automakers everywhere are preparing to show off their wares and up the ante following the flashy debuts and showcases at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit last month. One of the brands who’s sure to have a notable presence in Chicago is BMW, as it is preparing a lineup full of its many tried-and-true production vehicles alongside the debut of the 2018 BMW 5 Series.
The new 5 Series is sure to get people talking when it appears in Chicago. It already caused a little bit of a stir up in Detroit, when the seventh-generation model revealed it was more lightweight than ever and would be adding more models to its range. This includes a plug-in hybrid model as well as a brand-new variant that fits into BMW’s ‘M’ line of performance cars. While the new 5-Series is going on sale right after the auto show on February 11th, the M550i xDrive model won’t be available until spring.
Of course, BMW will also be bringing a few classics to the Chicago Auto Show, such as many of its ‘X’ named crossovers, the i3 and i8, and longtime members of the lineup like the 2 and 3 Series.
