Back in September, we announced the big news that BMW was going to unveil and electric car in the near future. We also dug into the charging port system that BMW is pioneering for the i3 and other future electric vehicles in a blog a few months ago. Last week, we gave you some insight on the production of the new BMW i3 electric car and provided more information about what the new model will feature.
The anticipated vehicle was finally revealed yesterday, July 29, and is already turning heads in the automotive industry. Perillo BMW is so excited for the worldwide debut of the BMW i3 electric car and cannot wait to get the vehicle into the showroom.
The BMW i3 electric car is expected to go on sale in the US market in the second quarter of 2014, and will start with a base MSRP of $41,350, before any federal or state incentives, and before the Destination & Handling fee (currently $925).
This new model was constructed in a revolutionary way from next-generation materials. The vehicle concept behind the BMW i3 was designed from the outset to incorporate an all-electric drive system. The BMW i3 is a completely sustainable, electric vehicle that still stays true to the Ultimate Driving Machine standard. It is the first product of the new BMW i sub-brand and represents a new era for electro mobility at BMW.
