BMW recently shelved the 3 Series and went forward with the BMW 4 Series instead. “The new BMW 4 Series Coupe,” according to a BMW press release, “is visibly larger in width and wheelbase than the outgoing BMW 3 Series Coupe, and its dynamically stretched coupe silhouette sits considerably lower to the road.”
However, BMW is not stopping just with the 4 Series Coupe. According to multiple internet sources, BMW is hard at work on the BMW M4 Race Car which will be released this December. Expected to compete in the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, the M4 Race Car will most likely be powered by an upgraded version of BMW’s TwinPower Turbo 3.0L engine.
The M4 Race Car, which is replacing the M3 DTM, might not be the only new sports car in the works from BMW. Reports claim another unnamed mystery race car might be on its way as well.
Though you probably can’t get ahold of an M4 Race Car for yourself, you can always come down to Perillo BMW and check out vehicles in the BMW 4 Series available in our inventory today.
