Christmas in Chicago: Holiday Happenings around Town

posted in: Events | 0

Christmas in ChicagoChristmastime is here! And for many of us, including those of us at Perillo BMW, that means we’ll be attending special events all around Chicago. In case your schedule isn’t full yet, here are some holiday happenings you won’t want to miss.

Winter WonderFest on the Navy Pier has been a community staple since it began 13 years ago. The festival is open until January 12, but we’re guessing the kids will drag you to the rink long before then.

You can’t let the Christmas season go by without taking a walk down the Magnificent Mile. Even after the Lights Festival opening event, the Mile is a brilliant light display well worth seeing.

The kids will enjoy the Sing-a-long with Santa in St. Charles. It is an interactive show at Steel Beam Theatre, which provides an opportunity to experience the musical side of Santa.

Christmas Around the World is a unique, decorative display of 50 Christmas trees at the Museum of Science and Industry and home of the spectacular, 45-foot Grand Tree.

A number of other cultural celebrations can be found around Chicago. Christkindlmarket, Holiday Delight/Kodomo Matsuri and Breakfast with Tomten are a few events that give Chicagoans a chance to experience how other cultures celebrate Christmas.

There is so much to do here during the holidays; we only chose a few of the activities that caught our attention. Let us know which events are family traditions and which you hope to check out for the first time this year. We’ll see you around town!
